As the year draws to a close (HOLY CRAP) I find myself thinking about 2019 and what I want to accomplish not just with this blog but in the book community as a whole. Writing down goals usually helps us keep them so today I am going to share my 2019 goals in hopes it helps me stick to them. (eating less cookies is not one of them because life is short and cookies)

Because look at that. I am awful with anything creative but I really want to work on it.
2. Blog at least 3 times a week.
When I started out it was tough to come up with posts but after this month of posting every day I think I can do it!
3. Attend a book festival
Depending on work and schedules this one is really up in the air. But I am going to try my best. I want to experience being around so many other book lovers.
4. Take more Instagram photos
As I said I am the least creative person around. But that doesn’t mean I can’t try. I don’t have a fancy camera, equipment, and props. But that doesn’t mean I can’t take photos. As long as I am proud thats all tha matters.
5. Read the books on my shelves
This is my biggest one. I have so many books and I haven’t read 70% of them (hides). But next year I want to concentrate on reading what I have. And if at the end I am not a fan or don’t think I will ever read it again then I want to trade it, give it away, or donate it.
6. Finally – Not be so caught up in not getting ARC approval
This will be my hardest. I see a lot of people on twitter getting random books in the mail from publishers, or being accepted to bookstagram tours, or big blog tours. I want to accept that I am doing me and I DO NOT need to have any ARCs. I can blog without them and wait for a book to come out. Its a work in progress but I know I can do it. I also want to put in this one that follower count or popularity is something I want to not worry about as well.
The other big thing I want to do next year? Read 150 books. This is going to be the biggest Goodreads Challenge I have given myself. But i know I love to read and I want to set the bar high.
What are your goals? Do you make goals or are you a fly by the seat of your pants person?
