Review- Postcard From Paris

Happy Tuesday everyone! I have been so busy with life that I haven’t read anything or done anything productive. Plus Anthem came out for xbox and I have kind of been obsessed. That’s beside the point, today I want to spotlight a book. Postcard from Paris is an adorable read that you probably haven’t heard of. Lets change that.

When Poppy finds a postcard from Paris, sent by an aunt she didn’t know existed, she books a flight to France to investigate. Just days after arriving in Paris, she accidentally lands herself a job thanks to a case of mistaken identity. To complicate matters further, she soon starts to fall for her new boss. Falling in love with your boss is never a good idea and she knows it. But when he makes her an offer she can’t refuse, her heart just might win the battle against reason and logic.

I was excited to read this because it looked like a Hallmark type book. Meaning it has a HEA and so much drama/fun inbetween. This is not a YA book but it would be an perfect read for anyone who enjoys a well written book.
Finding out her fiance is having an affair leads Poppy to find a postcard, book a trip to Paris, and accidentally get a job. Her new boss becomes her love interest and so many complications ensue. I really liked how the author portrayed each character. They have so many depths that you can see how much thought went into every single one.
A good afternoon read for any rainy day.

Author Background

As a child, I loved books, especially the ones that ended with the promise of a happily ever after. Escaping into magical worlds far from reality was my favorite pastime. That didn’t change when I grew up. Books and the characters in them have been some of my best friends for as long as I can remember. And I’ve been writing stories since I was nine years old. But I didn’t publish any of them until last year.

I have two great passions – writing and traveling. Thanks to my parents, I grew up on the move, bouncing from one country to the next. I’ve lived in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the West Indies. I have an insatiable wanderlust, a deep desire to see more of the world and experience all it has to offer. And I tend to write stories set in places I have been to or would like to visit one day.
