Books with Fae

As some of you know there was a recent release that boasted Fae but did NOT deliver on that front. In fact it was a DNF for me at about 20% if that. So I got to thinking; so many people love fae but concentrate on only the biggest books out there.

Namely: The Cruel Prince, Iron Fey series, and a few other ones my brain has conveniently forgotten.

But that isn’t the point! Today I want to focus on a few books you can find that I love that are all about the fae, fey, fairy or however you want to call them. So see below to find ones that I reread all the time for a good fairy story world.

The Faerie Path byAllan Frewin Jones
Short synopsis:
Swept away into a court of magic and beauty, she discovers she is Tania, the lost princess of Faerie: the youngest daughter of Oberon and Titania. Since Tania’s mysterious disappearance on the eve of her wedding five hundred years before, Faerie has been sunk in darkness and gloom. The courtly Lord Gabriel Drake, who Tania was once to marry, has found her and brought her back.
Thoughts:
I admit this book is older, it came out in 2007 and I read it back then. I recently found my copies and they are so good. The romance is sweet and wonderful. But the best part is the fact that Tania is so strong. She takes everything and jumps in with both feet. Just realize it was put together in 2007.

Kaleidoscope
by Mindy Hayes
Short Synopsis:
It starts in her chest. The change Calliope doesn’t see coming. It pulses like a second heartbeat, urging her to give in to the need to be in the depths of the forest. She’s compelled to fight the pull, but the more she denies it the stronger it becomes until she finally surrenders and is pulled into a secret world of enchantment.
Thoughts:
This is by far one of my favorite re-reads ever. I come back to this one each time I need something wonderful, swoony, and world building. I really enjoy how the author brings real life into this book and answers questions that would normally just be forgotten. The ending of the series is well worth the read as well. I suggest you check this one out if you love anything to do with fae.
*MY BOOK BOYFRIEND… not yours*

UnEnchanted
by Chanda Hahn
Short Synopsis:
Mina Grime is unlucky, unpopular and uncoordinated; until she saves her crush’s life on a field trip, changing her High School status from loser to hero overnight. But with her new found fame brings misfortune in the form of an old family curse come to light. For Mina is descended from the Brothers Grimm and has inherited all of their unfinished fairy tale business. Which includes trying to outwit a powerful Story from making her it’s next fairytale victim.
Thoughts:
This has more of a fairy background but trust me they are there and the background plot of the complete series. So I added it. It is also one of my favorite off normal fairy tales. The best part about this one? It is free on most e-book sites. Meaning you can start the series and not spend any money. Worth it if you ask me.
*this author is a favorite of mine.
