It is Wednesday already and surprisingly this is my first Waiting on Wednesday post. Pretty shocking right? I usually forget what day of the week it is and then suddenly people are posting and I am over here wishing I had thought to do that too.
But I have remembered this week! So without further ado…. two books I am excited to get my hands on soon. Ok one is soon the next I have a few months.

The Candle and the Flame by Nafiza Azad
Fatima lives in the city of Noor, a thriving stop along the Silk Road. There the music of myriad languages fills the air, and people of all faiths weave their lives together. However, the city bears scars of its recent past, when the chaotic tribe of Shayateen djinn slaughtered its entire population — except for Fatima and two other humans. Now ruled by a new maharajah, Noor is protected from the Shayateen by the Ifrit, djinn of order and reason, and by their commander, Zulfikar.
But when one of the most potent of the Ifrit dies, Fatima is changed in ways she cannot fathom, ways that scare even those who love her. Oud in hand, Fatima is drawn into the intrigues of the maharajah and his sister, the affairs of Zulfikar and the djinn, and the dangers of a magical battlefield.
This one comes out next week – YAY. I also get to be a part of the Street Team to help promote this beautiful book. Just look at the cover, read the blurb, and understand how awesome this book will be. I cannot wait to get my hands on a finished copy.

A future chieftain
Fie abides by one rule: look after your own. Her Crow caste of undertakers and mercy-killers takes more abuse than coin, but when they’re called to collect royal dead, she’s hoping they’ll find the payout of a lifetime.
A fugitive prince
When Crown Prince Jasimir turns out to have faked his death, Fie’s ready to cut her losses—and perhaps his throat. But he offers a wager that she can’t refuse: protect him from a ruthless queen, and he’ll protect the Crows when he reigns.
A too-cunning bodyguard
Hawk warrior Tavin has always put Jas’s life before his, magically assuming the prince’s appearance and shadowing his every step. But what happens when Tavin begins to want something to call his own?
I have been screaming about this book for so long. It is just the best and I want my FC, a sprayed edge copy, special editions, and so many. I would buy them all. So if you haven’t had the chance to put this one on your TBR you really need too.
I am currently reading The Candle and the Flame!! Really enjoying it!! How did you get on the street team?

They had a sign up doc a month or so ago and from there a bunch of people were chosen. I got lucky and got the chance to help promote.

That’s awesome! I got a physical copy in the mail after I sent an email to the publisher, but I wish I knew about the street team as well! Did you already read it?
