Book Review – The UnHoneymooners

Mini Review

Hello everyone. Today we are going to see a mini review of the UnHoneymooners. This came out last year. It is New Adult/Adult so if you are looking for a YA this one isn’t it.
What is a mini review? Basically life is busy, time is short, and you may not want to read a four paragraph long thought bubble of mine. So i have shortened my overall thoughts from the book. Presented it in a quick read and there you have it. Short and sweet. I hope you enjoy this set up and that you love the book.

Olive is always unlucky: in her career, in love, in…well, everything. Her identical twin sister Ami, on the other hand, is probably the luckiest person in the world. Her meet-cute with her fiancé is something out of a romantic comedy (gag) and she’s managed to finance her entire wedding by winning a series of Internet contests (double gag). Worst of all, she’s forcing Olive to spend the day with her sworn enemy, Ethan, who just happens to be the best man.

Olive braces herself to get through 24 hours of wedding hell before she can return to her comfortable, unlucky life. But when the entire wedding party gets food poisoning from eating bad shellfish, the only people who aren’t affected are Olive and Ethan. And now there’s an all-expenses-paid honeymoon in Hawaii up for grabs.

Putting their mutual hatred aside for the sake of a free vacation, Olive and Ethan head for paradise, determined to avoid each other at all costs. But when Olive runs into her future boss, the little white lie she tells him is suddenly at risk to become a whole lot bigger. She and Ethan now have to pretend to be loving newlyweds, and her luck seems worse than ever. But the weird thing is that she doesn’t mind playing pretend. In fact, she feels kind of… lucky.

This books is absolutely fantastic. It has laughs, cringes, and a whole lot of romantic tension. I enjoy the way the authors bring the main characters together at the beginning and all of the misunderstandings that follow. It is basically a fun rom-com set in a paradise. Two people must pretend to love each other while secretly falling in love. My favorite type of romance.
Highly recommend if you need a good laugh out loud fun romance that has a happy ending.

Let me know if this shorter reviews works for you? Would you prefer long winded reviews? A bunch of short ones at once focused in the same genre? Stop reviewing and do just fun posts?
